JavaScript Job: Software Engineer

We are looking for a Software Engineer to work on our core product. You will have the opportunity to transform cutting-edge research into a product that is deployed in factories around the globe. You will have the responsibility to overview the conceptual design, implementation, testing, and deployment. About EthonAI

EthonAI is an AI-powered platform that detects and prevents quality defects in manufacturing. We are on a mission to make AI solutions accessible to factory operators and engineers. Our applications have already been deployed in world-leading factories and have been proven to reduce production waste by up to 50% and increase job satisfaction for workers. We aim for nothing less than setting a new gold standard for AI in manufacturing.

Tasks

• Find, design, and implement solutions to complex technical questions and machine learning problems.
• Be the connection point between frontend engineers and machine learning engineers.
• Help to build up a team of AI and software engineers to bring cutting-edge research to the factory floor.
• Build infrastructure to train and test machine learning algorithms.
• Develop ML algorithms to solve challenging problems.
• Build the necessary infrastructure to ship regular updates to our customers.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in Python
• Experience in designing large scale software engineering projects/architectures
• Experience in modern cloud architectures
• Experience with CI, CD, Docker, Versioning
• MSc in Computer Science or related field
• PLUS: Experience with Flask and/or Django
• PLUS: Experience with Javascript (React/Angular/etc.)
• Ability to write clean code

Personal qualifications

• Fluent in spoken and written English
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• High quality standards of coding
• Open to testing new and crazy ideas
• Strong motivation to work in a fast-paced and dynamic startup environment
